Sadness at passing of former Crana College Principal Danny O’Brien

first_imgThe Buncrana community is in mourning this week following the death of Mr Danny O’Brien on Tuesday. Mr O’Brien of Clonbeg, Buncrana, was Principal of Crana College for 20 years from 1977 to 1997 and a well-known Inishowen GAA stalwart.Principal Mr Kevin Cooley paid tribute to Mr O’Brien yesterday, saying, “he had a hugely positive influence on the lives of so many young people and colleagues. May he Rest in Peace.” Remains will be reposing at his late residence.Funeral mass on Saturday morning, January 27th in St Mary’s Church, Cockhill at 11 o’clock with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the Patient Comfort Fund, Letterkenny University Hospital.House private from 10pm until 11am and strictly private on morning of funeral.
