Santa Ana winds die down and marine layer returns

first_img KUSI Newsroom, SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Strong and gusty Santa Ana winds that battered San Diego County Monday will begin to die down Tuesday morning.The decreased winds will allow a modest marine layer to build, helping to cool things down along the coast and a bit inland. Relative humidity will increase as well allowing for less wildfire risk in San Diego County. A red flag fire warning that went into effect Monday will expire at 10 a.m.Later in the week, a deeper marine layer and cloud cover will move in and temperatures will begin to drop Wednesday and Thursday.High temperatures Tuesday will be 71 to 76 degrees at the beaches, 77 to 82 inland, 81 to 86 in the western valleys and near the foothills, 72 to 79 in the mountains and 86 in the deserts.  KUSI Newsroom Posted: October 10, 2017 October 10, 2017 Santa Ana winds die down and marine layer returns Categories: Local San Diego News FacebookTwitterlast_img
