The festival was inaugurated by AK Bhalla, Additional Secretary of Ministry of Commerce on May 6 and will continue till May 10 in the national Capital.The lustre of the glittering event was further enhanced by the visit of celebrated model and Femina Miss India International 2011, Ankita Shorey on Saturday. MMTC (Metals and Minerals Trading Corporation of India) launched the Indian gold coin, now being retailed through the Company’s outlet and Indian Overseas bank branches across India. Soon, it will also be available through India Post and other bank branches across India.Ved Prakash, CMD, MMTC, said, “It is our endeavour to encourage consumers to choose the Indian gold coin as their preferred purchase by offering it at IOB branches and our own retail outlets across 31 cities in India”.
